Klaus Albert Bauer

Klaus Albert Bauer works as a conductor in Frankfurt am Main and the Rhine-Main area and has performed with orchestras in Ukraine, the USA and Russia. He is artistic director of the Chamber Orchestra Bad Vilbel. He has taken the orchestra on concert tours to Moulins (France), St. Petersburg and Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia). A recent highlight was the performance of the final movement of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, together with Cäcilienchor, Figuralchor Frankfurt, Frankfurter Kantorei and Frankfurter Singakademie at the opening ceremony of the new city hall VILCO in 2023.

Since 2017, Klaus Albert Bauer is permanent guest conductor of the Chernivtsi Philharmonic (Ukraine). In 2020, he made his debut with the Ivano-Frankivsk Symphony Orchestra at the opening concert of the Beethoven Festival.

Prior to engaging in his conducting activity, he pursued a career in law over many years. During that time, he founded the Freshfields Sinfonietta and the Finanzplatzorchester Frankfurt.

Klaus Albert Bauer is Chairman of the Friends of the Alte Oper Frankfurt and conducts the Freundeorchester der Alten Oper. In addition to his conducting activities, he is active as a moderator in various concert formats.

Klaus Albert Bauer studied conducting with Thomas Ungar at the Stuttgart Conservatory and with Sergiu Celibidache in Munich. He owes important inspiration to a series of master classes with Jorma Panula in Finland.
